Snow, Hail, and Ice
Scholars have said that snow falling on cultivated lands during beneficial times indicates abundant blessings and fertility. However, if it falls out of season or overwhelms people, it may point to the ruler's injustice, affliction, or calamities. Seeing snow in cities and residential areas indicates punishment, diseases, death, or taxes. Ice also holds no good, and may signify punishment from the ruler. Hail, if it does not harm crops or people, is a sign of fertility and good, but if it causes damage, it might indicate calamities, illnesses, or debts, and carrying hail in water may lead to loss of wealth or work.
