• Account information: name, email, phone number, password.
• Display name: optional public-facing name shown on reviews, questions, and badges, separate from your legal/full name.
• Business submissions and claims: business name, address, contact details, category, hours.
• Reviews, questions, answers, and photos you post.
• Sensitive profile information (optional, separately consented): ethnicity/heritage, religion, or country of origin. Collected only with explicit, separate consent, never bundled with general profile completion, and stored with the strictest access controls on the Site — only you can view it.
• Usage data: pages visited, device/browser information, IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies (Section 1.4).
• Google OAuth data, if you sign in with Google.

1.2 How We Use Your Information

To operate the Site (directory, reviews, classifieds, news, prayer times, radio); create and manage your account; verify business claims; display content you post publicly; communicate with you; run our referral/rewards program; detect fraud and abuse; analyze traffic (Google Analytics); serve advertising (Google AdSense); comply with legal obligations.

We do not use sensitive profile information (ethnicity, religion, country of origin) for advertising targeting, and never share it with advertisers.

1.3 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for third parties' own marketing purposes. We may share information: publicly as you direct (reviews, display name); with service providers (hosting, database, email, analytics, advertising) under contractual protection; with businesses you contact or review; for advertising reach through an internal matching system (advertisers never receive your raw personal data); for legal reasons; in a business transfer.

1.4 Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies to operate the Site and analyze usage. Google Analytics collects usage data — opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. Google AdSense displays advertising and may use cookies (including third-party cookies) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites — learn more at Google's Privacy & Terms and opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings. AdSense is approved for this Site and in setup; scripts may run during setup even before ads actively display.

1.5 Your Rights and Choices

You can update most information directly in account settings, and withdraw consent for sensitive profile information at any time.

1.6 Texas Privacy Rights (TDPSA)

Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including opting out of the "sale" of personal data (as broadly defined) and targeted advertising. We do not sell your raw personal information to advertisers. Contact privacy@alarab24.net.

1.7 Data Retention

Retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the Site's services. Deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where retention is legally required.

1.8 Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact privacy@alarab24.net if you believe we have.

1.9 Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including database-level Row Level Security restricting who can view sensitive information, even within our own systems. No method is 100% secure.
