The Ring's Stone
Scholars have indicated that seeing the ring bezel carries significant meanings related to authority and family. A loose bezel suggests the impending removal of authority, and its falling out may signify the death of a child or the loss of some wealth. If the bezel is lost from the ring, it may symbolize the loss of the face (honor/identity) of the person associated with the ring or its representative. As for the removal of the entire ring, for a governor, it indicates his dismissal, loss of his kingdom, or divorce of his wife, and for a woman, the death of her husband or closest person to her.
