The Pearl

Scholars have indicated that seeing pearls in a dream carries profound meanings related to the Quran, knowledge, wealth, and family. Piercing pearls straight might suggest correctly interpreting the Quran, while selling or swallowing them could indicate forgetting the Quran or concealing testimony; however, selling them to people symbolizes spreading knowledge. Scattering pearls from the mouth for others to take, while the dreamer takes none, represents a beneficial preacher, though it might also mean saying what one does not practice. Pearls can also symbolize a woman, a servant, a child, or lawful wealth extracted from kings' treasures or inheritance. Extracting many pearls signifies lawful wealth, authority for a governor, knowledge for a scholar, and profit for a merchant. For its highest interpretations, large pearls are better than small ones, with strung pearls possibly denoting children and scattered ones beautiful speech, each pearl symbolizing the beauty and perfection of things. However, chewing pearls might indicate slander, and walking on them disrespecting the Quran.
