Pearls can also symbolize a woman, a servant, a child, or lawful wealth extracted from kings' treasures or inheritance. Extracting many pearls signifies lawful wealth, authority for a governor, knowledge for a scholar, and profit for a merchant. For its highest interpretations, large pearls are better than small ones, with strung pearls possibly denoting children and scattered ones beautiful speech, each pearl symbolizing the beauty and perfection of things.
