The Ring

Scholars have indicated that seeing a ring in a dream often symbolizes authority, kingship, or what the dreamer possesses, and it may point to influence, prestige, wealth, or governorship, with its bezel representing the grandeur of authority or a child. Its meaning varies with its material: iron suggests good after hardship, gold might signify good fortune, a woman who lost her wealth, or humiliation for a man, while silver indicates authority and governance. Solid rings are good, while hollow ones might signify treachery or great hope. The ring can also symbolize a woman and marriage, or the birth of sons if the sky rains rings. Receiving a ring from a king denotes gaining authority, and wearing it signifies possessing something one did not own. Conversely, removing or selling a ring may indicate the loss of dominion, separation from one's wife, or the removal of one's possessions.
