The Pit

Scholars have said that if a dreamer sees themselves extracting flowing or stagnant water from something they dug, or had dug for them, it may indicate earning a living through cunning or strategem. "Pits" (excavations) in general may symbolize deception and trickery, traps, houses of immorality, prisons, shackles, observation posts, and similar things. The "matmoura" (underground granary) may refer to a nurturing, pregnant, or raising mother, or a place for storing food.
