Scholars have said that if one dreams of oiling his head, and the oil exceeds the normal amount and flows onto the face, it may indicate sorrow. If it does not exceed the usual amount, it is an adornment, and good-smelling oil signifies good praise, while foul-smelling oil indicates bad praise, or a promiscuous woman or a corrupt man. They also warned against flattery and deceit if the head is oiled in an inappropriate place.
