For women, a necklace represents entrusted wealth or an ornament symbolizing a husband and child. A strung necklace around a man's neck might symbolize memorizing the Quran, mastering jurisprudence, fulfilling covenants, marrying a virtuous woman, or the birth of a boy. However, if the necklace's string breaks or its pearls scatter, it could indicate breaking covenants, forgetting the Quran, the dispersion of knowledge, or for men, treachery and deceit.
