The Mercury
Scholars have said that seeing mercury in one's hand in a dream may indicate religious wavering, following desires, treachery, and untrustworthiness, and eating it is not good. Tar symbolizes protection and defense from dangers, and petroleum may indicate unlawful wealth or a corrupt woman, and spilling it on oneself may signify harm from the ruler. As for coins, scattered ones in a container indicate the fulfillment of a need, and exposed ones indicate bad talk and clamor.
