Wearing slippers (khuffain) may symbolize sea travel, or protection and wealth preservation if worn with a weapon or if new. Conversely, if worn without a weapon or if tight, it could signify severe worries, debts, imprisonment, or restrictions. Wide slippers might point to financial concerns, and old slippers offer weaker protection.
