Ambiguous speech from the earth is interpreted as wealth from suspicion, and the earth sinking suggests the disappearance of blessings and changing circumstances. Disappearing into the earth without digging might indicate a long absence in pursuit of worldly gains or death in their pursuit, while disappearing into a pit without an exit suggests being tricked.
