The vision of praying on top of the Kaaba has been interpreted as a disruption in faith and deviation from the Sunnah, or gaining authority despite holding a bad doctrine. Also, stepping over the Kaaba was interpreted as abandoning the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) and indulging in whims.
