Adornment by Unknown People
Scholars have said that seeing unknown people adorning a person and dressing them in luxurious clothes without an occasion like a holiday or wedding, and then leaving them alone in a house, might indicate their approaching death. They also indicated that new white clothes signify a renewal of affairs, and embalming perfume (hanut) might suggest repentance for the corrupt, relief for the distressed, and good praise.
