The Worn-Out Clothes
Interpreters suggest that whoever sees themselves wearing two worn-out and torn garments one over the other might indicate their death. A garment torn horizontally may signify an attack on one's honor, while a longitudinal tear indicates relief. It was also said that worn-out, patched, and ugly clothes might indicate loss and unemployment. Dirtiness in clothes generally may signify corruption in religion or worldly affairs, and washing them is repentance.
