Seeing the Sea

Scholars have stated that seeing the sea has multiple interpretations depending on the dreamer's condition and the time of the dream. If the dreamer is deceased and drowns in the sea, it may indicate torment in the afterlife. For the sick, it might suggest the intensification of their illness and death if they drown. For a healthy person, if it's summer and the sea is calm, it could indicate association with rulers, or profound engagement in knowledge and commerce. Drowning in the sea without dying may symbolize becoming deeply involved in a matter, such as worldly affairs or knowledge. Drowning and dying in the sea is interpreted as corruption of one's religion. Entering the sea in winter or in a turbulent sea might signify affliction from a ruler, illness, or severe temptation.
