The Old Well

Scholars have said that seeing an old well in a neighborhood, house, or village, from which people draw water with a rope and bucket, may indicate a woman, a woman's husband, or a guardian from whom people benefit in their livelihoods. This person will have a good reputation due to the benefit they provide, symbolized by the rope used to draw water, in reference to the Quranic verse, "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together."
