The Clothes

Scholars have said that clothes in a dream indicate matters of religion and worldly life, with their connotations changing based on their color, material, condition, and wearer. White clothes point to righteousness in religion and worldly affairs, green to strength in faith, worship, and increased goodness, while red is generally disliked for men and suggests amusement or illness, but for women, it denotes joy or abundant wealth with withholding of rights. Yellow may indicate illness, black signifies distress or prestige depending on custom, blue denotes worry and grief, and patterned clothes suggest sadness. New clothes generally symbolize wealth and joy. Torn clothes may indicate sorcery or being blessed with a child depending on whether they can be repaired, and thin clothes suggest a renewal of faith.
