Scholars have said that whoever sees himself wearing the Caliph's ring, if he is from Bani Hashem or the Arabs, he may attain a distinguished governorship. If he is from the Mawali (non-Arab clients) or has a father, it may indicate his father's death and he becomes his successor. If he has no father, his affairs may turn contrary to his wishes.
