The Green Branch
Scholars have said that whoever sees a green branch growing in his house and surpassing other plants in beauty, it may indicate the birth of a chosen and noble child in that household. The tamarix tree symbolizes a hypocritical man who harms the rich and benefits the poor. The pine tree may indicate a distant, ill-tempered, and stingy man, to whom oppressors and thieves resort.
