The Sword
Scholars have said that seeing a sword in a dream carries deep and varied interpretations related to authority and power. One who girds himself with it may gain governorship or great authority, and it can signify obtaining justice in a dispute. The sword also symbolizes male offspring, and its condition may reflect the fate of the child or wife. It can also refer to speech and the tongue, as a drawn sword symbolizes prepared speech that could be true or false, or eloquence. Furthermore, it may indicate courage and bravery, or anger, or trustworthiness, and at times it might be a sign of affliction like plague, or travel, or even a woman, with its meaning changing according to its state and what it is associated with.
