Walking in Sandals

Scholars have said that walking in sandals indicates travel by land. If one sandal comes off while walking, it may point to separation from a brother or partner. Wearing sandals without walking in them signifies marrying a woman. Walking in them on one's property may denote intimacy with one's wife. Hairy (untrimmed) sandals are interpreted as wealth, trimmed sandals as a woman, and shared sandals as a daughter.
