The Lion

Scholars have said that the lion often symbolizes a tyrannical ruler or an overwhelming enemy, and its entry into homes or cities may indicate severe illness, plagues, or calamities from an unjust ruler. It was said that riding a lion might suggest undertaking a great and dangerous matter, and if docile, it indicates gaining power over an oppressive ruler. It was also mentioned that overcoming a lion, eating its meat, or drinking its milk may signify triumph over an enemy or acquiring wealth from a ruler, while killing a lion could mean salvation from sorrows.
